1st Stakeholders’ Workshop
On April 23rd, the first stakeholders’ meeting was organized, aimed at discussing needs and wishes of stakeholders, regarding the development of the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) methodology.
Overall, 112 attendees actively participated, representing several stakeholders’ groups: consumers’ associations, policy makers from EU institutions, industrial organisations and associations, standardization bodies and research institutions. The debate was structured along two key questions:
- Which characteristics should the methodology/tool/data have for their application by the different stakeholders?
- Which questions need to be answered about the sustainability of products/product-policies?
The outcomes of the workshop will beincorporated into a public report, which will be distributed to the participants and used as a guide for the development of the methodology in the next months.
