ORIENTING involved in the 10th International Conference on Life Cycle Management
The consortium of the H2020 ORIENTING project has organized the session 3.7 “Operationalising Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment” (LCSA) for the 10th International Conference on Life Cycle Management (LCM) (5-8 September 2021, online event).
The LCM conference series is one of the world’s leading forums for environmental, economic and social sustainability. The core theme of this edition is Building a Sustainable Future Based on Innovation and Digitalization. The Call-for-Abstracts of the LCM conference was very successful and resulted in more than 400 contributions received, which are currently being evaluated and allocated to 38 sessions by the Scientific Committee.
Session 3.7 on “Operationalising Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment”, chaired by Mauro Cordella (TECNALIA) and Paolo Masoni (ECOINNOVAZIONE), will give voice to agents who are developing innovative approaches for the integration of life cycle-based environmental, economic and social methodologies. Contributions are expected to address LCSA aspects such as data availability and reliability, use of multi-criteria analysis or other techniques for managing trade-offs, uncertainty, integration of existing sustainability schemes and practices.
The session will stimulate an open and constructive discussion among LCSA practitioners from all the participant organizations, advancing towards a harmonized Product Sustainability Footprint and the ORIENTING objectives.
