On the last 12th November 2020 the ORIENTING consortium had their internal launch of the project or Kick-off meeting, where each one of the partners connected via Teams to the call, organized by Tecnalia, the leading entity. Given the pandemic situation, unfortunately it was not possible to be held in person, though it run very smoothly, with punctual and to the point interventions and participation.

The meeting had place between 9 am until 5 pm and run through the agenda as expected. First, Luis Pedrosa, the Director of Energy and Environment Division from Tecnalia, gave the welcome to everyone and reminded the attendants of the meeting’s agenda. After that, and during the first part of the morning, all partners presented themselves in order to get to know among them, their activities, and their role in the project.

After the virtual coffee break, the consortium welcomed Floriana La Marca, Project Officer from the European Commission, who gave general and specific tips for a good and successful project management, to take into account across the development of the project by all members. Following to that, Tecnalia also pointed out some relevant administrative and financial information and explained their leading Work Package 7 – Project management and coordination. On the afternoon, the rest of the Work Packages were also presented by their respective leaders, and some questions were raised for each of them which were discussed by attendants. At the end of the meeting, closing remarks were listed, to summarize the outcomes of the session and next steps.
