Product Social Issues. Insights from Industry

ORIENTING is an EU H2020 project aimed at developing an operational methodology for the life cycle sustainability assessment of products supporting decisions towards the circular economy. The Centre for Sustainable Design® at UCA is completing research into product circularity and product social considerations in design and development, that will feed into the project.
Objectives
The webinar will take place via Zoom, where findings will be presented on product social considerations based on 21 in-depth qualitative interviews conducted with industry between August 2021 and March 2022.
The webinar will highlight:
- What are Product Social (PC) issues?
- Defining Social Topics within Design and Development
- Identified PS Topics within Industry
- Measuring Social Impact
- Barriers identified for implementing PS Considerations
- PS links to Orienting methodology
